Pizza crust testing for Celine and Tami's whole grain baking book

Happy Friday friends! What are you doing this Memorial Day weekend? I'm heading out to Governors Island tomorrow, to paint some little kid's faces (which I'm super-excited about.) It's the opening weekend of the Better Than Jam pop-up shop, that will be on the island every Saturday/Sunday for the rest of the summer. I'm happy to have some of my stuff there, alongside a pretty amazing selection of handmade goods from other local NYC artists and designers. I'm going to bring my camera with me tomorrow, so I'll share some photos of the shop and the face-painting shenanigans next week.

I have a low attention-span today, as I'm sure most do, waiting for the weekend to start, so I'm gonna keep it light and just post some yummy photos. More tester recipes!

Happy weekend! :D

New Cards!

So many new cards! I'm a card-making machine! Ha, anyways, I have lots of new cards in the shop, for Father's Day and for all of those graduates in your life. I really like the Lederhosen Bear...

Temporary Tattoos!

I am REALLY psyched about these. Temporary tattoos are something that I have been wanting to make for a realllly long time, and I finally made it happen. For all the non-committal tattoo-loving people out there. :)

What you get:
+5 different temporary tattoos (unicorn, kitty cat, star-burst, ice cream cone, and rainbow clouds.)
+All are 1.5"x2" (except the unicorn is 2"x2")
+All are original illustrations designed by me, but are professionally printed.
+Instructions for application and removal are on the back of each one.
+Safe and non-toxic
+So much cuteness!

Available here. Let me know if you have any questions or wanted different quantities!

xoxo,
Michelle

Spoonflower Contest!

I'm so stinking excited about this! So, the amazing and wonderful Spoonflower is pairing up with Robert Kaufman Fabrics, to host a contest in which the winner will be offered a contract for their collection of fabrics, a $1000 advance on royalties, and a Wacom tablet! Holy wow, right? The theme given was pen and ink/watercolor-inspired fabrics, which is kinda right up my alley. Anyways, I made a purrdy floral pattern to enter into the contest, and I made it into the top 100! I would LOVE to move onto the top 8, and create 7 additional patterns to go with this one.

Here's where I need your help! Voting is open now until the 9th, and I would really love your vote! You have to have a Spoonflower account to vote, but that is not such a bad thing to have anyway (because they rock!)  Please and thank you!!

You can vote here (and find mine amongst some really pretty patterns!)

Maple Festival and Monster Trucks

This past weekend, Nik and I drove to Troy, PA to visit with his parents and for some Maple-y goodness at the Annual Maple Festival. It is always nice getting away from the city, even for just a few days, and we packed a lot of activities in. We squeezed in a mega-shopping trip to Wegmans (hey! we had a car, so we had to take advantage!), a trip to the Catawissa Bottling Co. for some Moxie, visiting with his parents, going into sugar overload at the Maple festival, and kinda being bored and a bit out of my element at the Monster Truck show. Phew! So fun!

You can see more photos that I took over on my Flickr of the Farm Museum and the Monster Truck show.

B grade Maple Syrup, Maple Sugar (!!), Maple Coffee (!!!), and Maple Candy. Holy sugar overload.

Some exciting press!

Remember how I said I was in the audience of The Martha Stewart show last week? Well they finally put all of the photos of all the Etsy sellers that were in the audience, on their website. So excited to be on there!
